INAER set up the first medical helicopter in Spain in 1986. Inter-hospital transfers, medical assistance and search and rescue operations are the main services carried out by INAER with its fleet of medical helicopters, made up of the most modern helicopters on the market, such as the EC-145, EC-135 and A-109 Power.

The use of the aircraft is essential in many catastrophic situations, for locating, rescuing and evacuating patients as well as transporting materials and equipment to the affected area. Its use in daily medical assistance is becoming more and more versatile, aimed above all at assistance for patients who are in critical condition.

Its accumulated experience, the most up-to-date resources and the best qualified personnel allow INAER to have clients such as the main international, national and regional government bodies as well as having medical bases in key positions in all the countries in which it operates. Also, INAER is the only operator in Spain, Italy and Portugal running H24 medical bases, which operate 24 hours a day.
